Driving in Los Angeles is atrocious–a fact that every person in this city knows–one huge flaw of popularity. Driving during traffic hours (which is, apparently, every hour of the day these days) is unbearable. But driving in LA with the knowledge of getting to a particular destination is what keeps one sane– if not anxious.
Frontseatpedal is a blog dedicated to writing about what comes along in life in the driver’s seat, when one’s life is controlled by you, yourself, and the drive toward that destination–wherever it may be.
–The driver’s name is Volcano, a 21-year old lost in LA.
A trunk full of an organized mess of past memories, a heart beating at 90 miles per hour, and an intense drive to reach that goal–wherever and whatever that may be, he’s off and riding down that express lane, writing about the craziness in between.
What keeps that car going?
“A passion for life, a callow sense of reality, a naive rendering of what’s ahead and a slight disregard of things left behind,” he says.
A pocketful of lint, Ray Ban wayfarers, some skinny jeans, and a very loud MGMT song playing in the background, you can find his blue car zooming off into the subtle sanguine sunset.
VROOOM!
I am first… and that means I am the best.
uhhhhhh
